Glen Burnie pool players attend tournament
Joe Norton Tournaments will be hosting the JNT Ultimate 8 Ball Challenge in the latter part of November.
Eight-ball is a type of pool game played on a billiard table with six pockets. The tournament is open to any adult who wishes to play, with a $60 entry fee. First-come, first-served play will be limited to 256 players.
All players will be assigned to tiers and brackets, which will be decided and posted by November 3. Play will take place within the tiers and brackets until winners have been established; thereafter, inter-bracket matches will be played until an ultimate winner is crowned. The top 25% players decided by Fargo ratings and upper middle 25% will play here in Glen Burnie, while the two lower brackets will lock horns in Laurel.
The tournament will take place at Brews & Cues on the Blvd, 7954 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. The winner of the tournament will play the winner of a similar contest taking place at The Bank Shot Bar & Grill in Laurel. The finals will be played here in Glen Burnie.
Enthusiasts that want to draw more attention to challenges like this might arrange flyer printing beforehand and place flyers around town.
The JNT Ultimate 8 Ball Challenge will take place on the weekend of Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, running from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm each day.
