Expo puts dogs in spotlight

Glen Burnie dogs, owners, and those who love canines are invited to attend the upcoming Mid-Atlantic Dog Expo 2019.

The event will open with its annual Pet Parade. Prizes will be awarded in categories such as best kisser, biggest and smallest dogs, pet and owner look-a-likes, and the Bawlmore Hon Dog Contest. Prizes will also be awarded for Pretty Pitty, Pretty as a Picture, and for Family Choice.

Bands will be performing all day. In the Kids’ Corner, and kids can get their faces painted to look like puppies. The event will have vendors and food trucks with treats for humans and their canine friends. Attendees will get the opportunity to hear talks on subjects such as animal cruelty and Breed specific legislation. Dogs may be adopted on cite from BARCS.

Local pet-oriented businesses and nonprofits will be on hand with items for sale and information regarding their missions and programs.

Exhibitors at events such as this tend to give away Promotional Products, discounts, and coupons.

Jimmy’s Famous Seafood will be holding a Crab Feast from 11:00 am until 6:00 pm at the expo. Tickets run $35 each. Food Trucks will be on site. Some of these will include Kona Ice, Bmore Greek Grill, and Lattimore’s Funnel Cakes.

Mid-Atlantic Dog Expo 2019 will take place at the Patterson Park Pagoda, E Lombard St. in Baltimore on Saturday, May 11. The Pet Parade will be from 10:00 am until 10:30 am.
