Growlers bar reopens with new name

The community of Gaithersburg has been concerned about the fate of local bar, Growlers, which originally opened in the 1890s. A brief closure left regulars and employees wondering if the bar would survive, but the local hotspot has now reopened as Greene Growlers.

Entrepreneur Paul Greene is responsible for the resurrection of the local restaurant and bar. While there will be certain changes to the bar’s offerings, statements from the new ownership reassure regulars that local staples like karaoke night, trivia night, and open mics will continue.

A menu has been created by Extreme Chef Terry French, known from the Food Network program. Many companies often use booklet printing or other printing service techniques to create durable Menus as well as local signage.

The menu will feature barbeque and fried chicken using French’s homemade sauces, as well as bar standards. The bar will also offer twelve different beers, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Greene Growlers had its grand reopening last Saturday, September 30, from 7:00 pm to 2:00 am. Food and beer was served while customers enjoyed live music and more.

Marketing itself as a friendly local craft beer bar and restaurant catering to the local Gaithersburg crowd, takeout is available at Greene Growlers, and the restaurant also takes reservations. For more information about the reopening, the menu, or upcoming events, visit the Facebook page.
