Gaithersburg area festival brings coffee and chocolate

The DMV Chocolate & Coffee Festival will be visiting the Gaithersburg area this November showcasing chocolate and coffee beans and all they’re used for.

The show will feature chocolate vendors from around the world with flavors from light to dark and many different formats. Visitors can also sip an assortment of coffees. Other vendors will offer a variety of gift items such as tea, candles, art, and personal beauty items. The show will feature over 200 vendors in all, including George Washington’s Chocolate Table, Black Acres Roastery and Java Nation

In addition to vendors, the show floor will feature photo booths, demonstrations, and family-friendly activities. The festival’s mascots Chunk the Chocolate Bar & Bean the Coffee Cup will be available for photo opportunities. The Coffee Educational Lab and Sip & Share Seminar Stage will feature live demonstrations on brewing, baking, and larger context about coffee and chocolate.

The festival aims to be family friendly, with crafts tables for younger visitors. The Chocolate Chick and Aurora Gourmet will both provide live chocolate fountains with marshmallows, fresh fruit, and other items available for dipping. Festivals like this often use flyer printing and social media, among other tools, to attract food lovers from nearby areas like Gaithersburg.

The DMV Chocolate & Coffee Festival will take place on November 7 and 8 at Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse in Boyds, near Gaithersburg. Children under 12 will be admitted free with a parent or guardian.
