The event will include dinner and dancing to live music. The gala is open to current supporters as well as those looking to become partners and volunteers. Past editions of the gala have included a cocktail hour, photo booth, and other features. Visitors will have the opportunity to show off their formal looks by dressing up for the occasion.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Upcounty Hub’s programs aiming to help food-insecure people in Upper Montgomery County. The Hub provides food and other essential goods such as diapers, feeding approximately 1300 families a week, provides social work services, and has also hosted seasonal donation initiatives such as a holiday toy drive. The group describes their mission as:
“to connect the most vulnerable and impoverished populations to fundamental, culturally-competent resources.”
In addition to individual donors, the gala will also showcase the organization’s volunteer and local business sponsors. In past years the organization has featured sponsors in signage or programs, which many organizations use printing services to help create to recognize contributors.
The 2025 Upcounty Hub Anniversary Gala will take place on the evening of October 30 at the Gaithersburg Marriott.
