Transera, a company that provides contact center software based in the cloud for small to medium businesses and large corporations, was recently acquitted by BroadSoft.
Located in Gaithersburg, Broadsoft is a provider of global unified communications software as a service.
According to the chief executive officer of BroadSoft, Michael Tessler, this acquisition will enable the company to become a leader in the contact center by offering a comprehensive cloud contact center portfolio of its BroadWorks and BroadCloud solutions. Transera’s software that offers voice, email, and chat capabilities, along with data analytics capabilities, will enable businesses to become more efficient and improve their bottom line.
He added that this will bring together a company that has been an innovator in the contact center market with his business, which is one of the top cloud unified communications providers. Broadsoft will now be a one-stop solution in the contact center market and will have the ability to scale from small and medium businesses to large corporations, says Tessler, who expects the purchase of Transera to add approximately $7-8m in revenue for the company this year.
Chief executive officer and chairman of Transera, Prem Uppaluru, will become the Vice President and General Manager of BroadSoft Cloud Contact Center.
BroadSoft may decide to Print Brochures with updated information about its offerings and products now that this acquisition has been completed.
