Gaithersburg becomes home to new combined art studio and restaurant

The 18th location of Muse Paintbar will be opening in Gaithersburg this week.

Located in the RIO Washington Center, a lifestyle shopping complex along the waterfront, Muse Paintbar will offer its guests the opportunity to learn from skilled artists while enjoying beer, wine, and a wide selection of food. It will be 2,800 square feet in size and serve as a studio for artists that will supplement the many galleries and other artistic venues in Gaithersburg, such as Arts Barn and the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, as well as the Kentlands Mansion Gallery.

Each week, a variety of painting sessions will be offered to the public, regardless of artistic skill level. There will also be couples’ night where a couple can create complimentary paintings that can be hung together in their homes. Two or three times a month, there will be family nights for family friendly sessions. Summer camps will also be available for kids.

Stan Finch, President and Cofounder of Muse Paintbar, said that it is very exciting to be opening a studio in a community with a thriving arts culture. Vanessa Leigh, Cofounder and Lead Artist, added that Muse allows sharing by local artists while breaking down the barriers people may have in creating their own artwork.

With the opening being tomorrow, July 6, Muse might benefit from the assistance of a local printing company to advertise its unique studio and eatery combination with Flyers and other printed materials.
