Worcester residents get ready for WineFest
People in Worcester who enjoy wine are preparing to travel to Mohegan Sun, where the 13th annual Sun WineFest will take place soon.
The events include a Grand Tasting, which will feature wine, beer, specialty spirits, and food. There will be over 1,000 brands for beer and wine enthusiasts to sample, while foodies can try the signature dishes of a number of highly rated regional restaurants. On the Main Culinary Stage, celebrity chefs Chris Coombs, Todd English, Rocco DiSpirito, Govind Armstrong, and others will work their magic.
A second event is the Elite Cru Tasting, which gives patrons the opportunity to try the “best-of-the-best” wines from around the globe, and meet the vintners behind them. Those who choose to buy a ticket for the Elite Cru Tasting will also be admitted to the Grand Tasting. The Elite Cru event will be held in the Cabaret Theatre, and space is limited.
Attendees might choose the Celebrity Chef Dine Around, where they can watch world class chefs prepare their signature dishes, which they will pair with an appropriate wine or beer. There is even a Bourbon Tasting for those who enjoy this traditional whiskey.
The Sun WineFest is slated for this weekend (January 29 to 31), with the various tasting events scattered throughout the three days. Organizers could create festive banners to hang throughout the venue, adding to the fun.
