Materials lab to come to Worcester

The Flexcon Lab at Auxilium, a state-of-the-art materials science lab, will be opening in Worcester.

This is being developed as a partnership between 44 Maple Group, Flexcon, and Auxilium Worcester. The facility will be on Main Street and will have 3,000 square feet of specialized space designed to support companies in the early stages of developing technologies in materials science.

The project seeks to address the critical shortage of accessible laboratory space for startups in Massachusetts by providing state-of-the-art testing equipment and on-site technical expertise. Staffed by experienced technicians and process engineers, the lab will offer startups the essential resources and support needed to advance their innovations from concept through to commercial viability. Such new and innovative facilities can benefit from flyer printing to provide more details on their offerings and amenities.

Executive Chair of 44 Maple Group, Neil McDonough, said the collaboration reflects a commitment that is shared to fostering opportunity and innovation in the community. He added that the lab will offer more than physical space but will be a long-term investment in economic growth and local entrepreneurship.

The lab will house the Tech Solutions Group, a division of 44 Maple Group, while Flexcon, also part of 44 Maple Group, will play a key role in providing technical expertise and support.

Construction of the new lab is underway, and it is expected to open this summer.
