Pâtisserie Gaudet in Acton Vale, Quebec, has been acquired by Table Talk Pies, based in Worcester.
Cliff Rucker, the director of Table Talk Pies, said the company plans to manufacture its four-inch and eight-inch pies in the facility. He said the goal is to expand the company’s brand in Canada and be a trusted and valued Canadian business. The acquisition of Gaudet will also enable the company to grow its manufacturing operations across North America, despite the many challenges of issues with the supply chain and inflation. News of such acquisitions and their benefits for a company and its customers can be made known with flyer printing.
Table Talk Pies had declared bankruptcy last August but an investment from Rucker and Jim Chacharone, Matt Consigli, and Anthony Consigli – all businessmen from the Worcester area – enabled the company to continue operations.
Rucker expressed his optimism in that pies are still affordable and a treat for many people, in particular the smaller pies. He added that he feels incredibly lucky in comparison to many other manufacturers who may find themselves in similar circumstances.
Table Talk Pies is a corporate member of the Worcester Historical Society, a member of the Worcester Chamber of Commerce, and Official Founding Member of the Worcester Red Sox.
Rucker expects the facility in Canada to open sometime next year.
