Polar Views, LLC, based in Northborough, is looking to build another apartment building in Worcester. This would be the second such building to be built as part of the development plan for Polar Park on the southeast side of Madison Street.
Last month Polar Views submitted plans for a building to be six stories high with 35 apartments with one and two bedrooms and a penthouse on the top floor on Lamartine Street. Polar Views is now looking to build another multifamily building six stories high next to the first one on Grosvenor Street. This plan would include one affordable unit for those making 80 percent of the median income in the area.
Banner printing is one way that residents and visitors to the area can be informed about such potential projects and their impact on a neighborhood.
The property on Lamartine Street was purchased by Taman Jaber in March 2022 for $1.8 million. A month later it was transferred to Polar Views. Rebecca and Daniel Yarnie of Northborough are listed as the managers of Polar Views. Daniel Yarnie then purchased the property on Grosvenor Street for $370,000 from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in November 2023.
Should both projects be completed, these developments would be the important new buildings southwest of Polar Park since The Revington recently opened on Madison Street.
