Partnership in Worcester leads to cultural initiatives
The Worcester Cultural Council and the Cultural Development Division of the city of Worcester have announced a partnership with the Fitchburg Cultural Alliance to hold strategic advocacy initiatives in the region.
This partnership is made possible through funding from the Creative Worcester County Initiative, which is part of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation.
These initiatives are part of the MASSCreative Advocacy Network and are designed to empower communities to influence policy and protect the critical infrastructure of the arts, and to strengthen the voice of the cultural sector of Worcester County.
One of the initiatives is the inaugural Worcester County State of the Arts Convening. This is open to cultural workers, members of the community, artists, and local vendors. Featured at the event will be the Executive Director of the Mass Cultural Council, Michael Bobbitt, and his presentation of the cultural assets inventory of Worcester County, which covers the places, people, and organizations that drive the creative ecosystem of the region. After his presentation, attendees will be able to engage with state and local legislators in a panel discussion about the presentation.
Poster printing can be used to promote such unique events throughout a city and neighboring communities.
This event will be from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm on Wednesday, May 14 at the Chocksett Inn in Sterling.
