New program instituted by college in Worcester
A new outcomes transparency initiative is being launched by the Business School at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
This initiative will employ insights into the labor market and the power of data science to forecast the long-term value of an MBA degree. Prospective MBA students working with AstrumU, a data services firm in Seattle, will have access to customized predictions for their earning potential, career placement, and promotion potential based on the outcomes of graduates from WPI. More information about such new programs is often outlined for prospective students with brochure printing.
The career advising platform of ReadySet from AstrumU will be used by WPI to provide students with more information about salary outcomes and job placement. The data science models of the platform match academic performance, course-level outcomes, and experiences in extracurricular activities with salary outcomes and job placement from employer data.
Students will have access to a valid statistical forecast of their earning potential and career in their desired industry based on the accomplishments of previous graduates with similar career goals and backgrounds. This will also enable admissions counselors to improve the enrollment process by letting prospective students know how an MBA degree can help them to achieve their professional and personal goals.
This initiative is an extension of the efforts of WPI to offer an accessible and affordable business degree through its MBA program, which is focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
