Shoe company Converse Inc. has established its international headquarters on Lovejoy Wharf in Boston.
The architects of the building have opted for a multifunctional approach, and a retail outlet has been incorporated into the overall design. The management could opt to use Print companies in Worcester for promotional purposes.
Jim Calhoun, the chief executive officer and president of Converse, said:
“The opening of our new world headquarters is a momentous occasion for Converse. It brings us closer to the city’s creative community, provides greater access to top talent and we’re thrilled to be here ushering in this new era for the brand.”
The headquarters has been positioned on a space of almost an acre in size. The area has apparently been selected with public access in mind, and has the advantage of being at the center of a revitalized gap between the North Washington Bridge and the Zakim Bridge.
The Converse brand was acquired by Nike Inc. back in 2003, but Converse has retained its own identity and revenues have recently been recorded as rising by more than a quarter in one year.
Converse already possesses a retail outlet in Boston, but the fresh headquarters will provide a different kind of consumer experience. The difference will be observable to visitors in that the new building has features like a special installation and a recording studio.Get a Free Quote for Print
