Conference aims to help female veterans find their future

The 8th annual Women Veterans' Network Conference is taking place next month in nearby Worcester.

The event will feature breakout sessions, workshops, and panel discussions with a number of guest speakers. Some of the topics of discussion are set to include education, finance, job searches, and résumé writing. All topics aim to help veterans to find a new life after the military.

All attendees will receive gift bags filled with samples and advertising materials from participating exhibitors, and a free lunch. Various exhibitors will be on hand to provide information to the veterans. This year, this will include organizations such as SAVE, NEADS (Northeast Air Defence Sector), Military One Source, and VA Healthcare. It is also an opportunity for women veterans to network with one another and those who can provide them with jobs or an education.

No doubt this event will attract women veterans from all over Massachusetts, including those from nearby Marlborough. To ensure that word about this event is spread in the community, organizers are likely to have invested in flyer printing services.

The event will be held at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester on May 21 from 8:45 AM - 3:00 PM. Admission is free of charge. To find out more about this event, contact the Woman Veterans' Network at 617-210-5958.
