Quincy to honor legacy of Abigail Adams
Remember The Ladies Presentation and Tea will be held in Quincy to celebrate the legacy of Abigail Adams, First Lady, and recognize the accomplishments of five outstanding women in Quincy in the fields of business, public service, education, arts and culture, and non-profit organizations.
This event will be hosted by Danielle Allen, who is a member of the Adams Presidential Center Board Member, and James Bryant Conant, a University Professor at Harvard University. Among the honorees at the event will be Leslie Bridson and Laura Owens from the Qunicy Public Schools, Karen Richardson from the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, Meg Maher from Marriott Boston, and Laurie Brancaccio, a retired officer from the Quincy Police Department.
Mayor Thomas Koch said these women reflect the legacy and life of Abigail Adamas. He is encouraging everyone to celebrate these distinguished women in the city, who contribute every day of their lives to making a difference in the community and improving the quality of life for everyone.
This is one of a series of events to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the city of Quincy. Poster printing can be used throughout a city to promote such special events and the history of a city.
This afternoon tea and presentation will be in the auditorium at Quincy High School from 2:00 to 5:00 pm this Saturday, March 8.
