It will be an anchor retail store for a development in the downtown on McConville Way. This will be a mixed-use project that will include a medical facility spanning 100,000 square feet and 300 housing units. The medical facility will be operated by Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center. A design submission is on file with the city.
Trader Joe’s in Quincy is planning to become a neighborhood grocery store. It will feature interesting and unconventional products that are part of the Trader Joe's label as well as basics for everyday such as eggs, meat, bakery items, milk and fresh produce. It will also offer a wide selection of cheeses and fresh flowers. All their high-quality items will be offered at affordable prices. There are 21 locations of Trader Joe’s in Massachusetts with more than 630 stores in Washington, D.C. and more than 40 states.
Trader Joe’s and the development project are expected to be completed next year.
