Winterfest 2026, part of Quincy Celebrates America 250, will be held later this month.
This event will feature a variety of shows including Trailside Animals, Making Magic, and puppet shows that will run throughout the afternoon at several locations throughout the city. Seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, with tickets not available in advance. Each show lasts 45 minutes.
Making Magic will be musical performances by characters sharing their stories with the audience. This will be on the first floor of the Chamber Room of Old Town Hall. The Blue Hills Trailside Museum will be presenting birds of prey on the lower level of City Hall. Featured at Magic by George will be family entertainment by an award-winning magician. This will be at the Church of Presidents.
Gold Arrow will host fire shows starting at 2:30 pm and Brilliant Ice will exhibit a range of ice sculptures. Big Joe and his puppets will perform energetic and exciting stories with help from the audience at the back chamber of the Church of Presidents.

The Coffee Break Café will be providing free hot chocolate. The Quincy Recreation Department Skating Rink will be open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm for free ice skating.
Winterfest 2026 will be on President’s Day, which is next Monday, February 16 from noon to 5:30 pm.
