Highest boy scout rank awarded to three Newburyport boys

An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was recently held at the Immaculate Conception School where three Boy Scouts— Morgan Pyle, Jacksen Kulik, and Jaime Blouin from Newburyport—received their Eagle Scout designation. They were joined by troop leaders, fellow scouts, family, and friends at the celebration.

The service projects of the three Eagle Scouts involved working with the State Police and the Town of Georgetown for 935 hours of community service.

Grooming of trails and working on the training area for the State Police was handled by Blouin and Pyle, while repairing of railings and fences due to winter storm damage, installing a new outdoor sign made of wood, and some grooming of trails at Camp Denison in Georgetown was done by Kulik.

Scoutmaster Leonard Wallace IV leads Newburyport Troop 21, which is a member of the Spirit of Adventure Council and the Boy Scouts of America, of which these young men are members. As part of their careers in Scouting, they have participated in numerous hiking and camping trips, various leadership opportunities, community service projects, and courses that led to merit badges. Becoming an Eagle Scout is the highest rank that can be attained in the Boy Scout program.

No doubt the Troop may want to have some Flyers made to distribute throughout the community announcing the achievements made by these three young men.
