Well-known steak house in Marlborough undergoes transformation

The Wildwood Steak House in Marlborough, which closed a year ago due to the retirement of Gerry Seymour, the owner, is now under new ownership.

Tim Htway, the building commissioner for Marlborough, said that the plans for the new building are in the design phase. The new owners plan to keep the existing structure that spans 9,000 square feet, and to renovate the interior of the building, which is on Route 20. Banner printing is often used at such sites to inform residents and travelers about plans for a property along a major byway.

The Wildwood Steak House was open for 99 years. Jim Bartholomew, a vice president with R.W. Holmes Commercial Real Estate that listed the property, said that it sold for $2 million. Delio Lopes and Milca Lopes, who own Delca Real Estate Holdings based in Framingham, purchased the property.

They also own and operate Pao Brasil Bakery, which is on Route 135 in Framingham. A café as well as a bakery, it offers a self-service buffet-style bar and counter service.

Executive director for the Marlborough Economic Development Corporation, Meredith Harris, said the new establishment will be a Brazilian restaurant and bakery. She added that it will not be full service, like the Wildwood, and it will be more of a grab and go nature with seating available for dining.
