Resource for senior care opens in Marlborough

A location of Homewatch Caregivers has been launched by Jayati Banerjee in Marlborough.

Banerjee is a former corporate executive with over 20 years of professional experience. This is her first venture into owning a business with the goal of improving the lives of older adults in the area. The office offers client-centered and flexible care that enables older people to live comfortably and safely in their own homes.

Among the services offered by Homewatch Caregivers are companionship, recovery after surgery, help with all levels of personal care, and 24/7 in-home support. A specialty of the location in Marlborough is care for dementia as trained caregivers support those with Alzheimer’s disease and other chronic conditions with clinical awareness and compassion.

In addition to caregiving, Banerjee co-founded Krossroads Performing Arts, a non-profit theater group, and partners with local senior centers and councils on aging to integrate arts into elder daily life to promote growth, connection, and companionship. Her key program, “Fostering Growth through Storytelling Sessions,” uses storytelling to boost cognitive health, emotional well-being, and reduce isolation in older adults by sparking joy and positive memories.

Establishments like this can benefit from flyer printing to inform those in the area of the services they provide and benefits for older adults and their families.

A successful pilot with the Concord Council on Aging secured a grant from Emerson Hospital for mental health and loneliness prevention, with more sessions planned for early 2026.
