Students in Marlborough recognized for accomplishments

The Marlborough School Committee has honored several students in the class of 2025 at Marlborough High School for their academic achievements.

The students, who were recognized by Daniel Riley, principal of the high school, and superintendent Mary Murphy are Adelaide Johnson, Dane Garson, Sara Garner, Andy Zheng, and Leo Renn. Announcements of such achievements is often made known throughout a school district and community with banner printing.

Renn is ranked second in his class and is an AP Scholar with Distinction. He is a member of the Robotics Club at the high school and on the cross-country and track teams. He has also done internships with Technium and with the Information Technology Department of the city.

Zheng is the top student in the class and an AP Scholar with Distinction. He is a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society and the National Honor Society and is on the track team.

Garner is ranked fourth in the class, is a member of the National Honor Society and the Tri-M Music Honor Society and is an AP Scholar. She has been a competitive dancer for 15 years.

Garson has taken several AP courses in chemistry, biology, and physics and is enrolled at the University of Connecticut in a chemistry course. He has earned three black belts in karate and is on the varsity track team.
