After six months as interim superintendent, he was appointed to the position in January. He was superintendent of the Blackstone-Millville Regional School District for seven years prior to joining the Marlborough Public Schools district and held key roles in the public schools of Southbridge, Somerville, Worcester, and New Bedford.
He has been an active member of the association for 13 years and was an important contributor to its Initiative of Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. His service has also included being a member of several statewide education advisory groups and committees.
Executive director of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents, Mary Bourque, said:
