Marlborough companies receive funds for job creation

Over half a million dollars has been awarded to two companies in Marlborough for the creation of jobs. An amount of $415,000 was awarded to Repligen Corporation while an amount of $195,000, was given to IPG Medical Corporation. Thirty jobs will be created between the two companies.

Local Print shops can help spread the news of such awards and provide more information about the jobs that will be created with Flyers, Booklets, and other printed materials.

Announced recently by the Massachusetts Life Sciences Center, these awards are included in a tax incentive of nearly $40 million that will benefit 38 companies and help drive the creation of over 1,600 jobs throughout Massachusetts. Life sciences companies that are expanding development, research, and manufacturing operations in Massachusetts are being supported by this program.

Repligen Corporation and IPG Medical Corporation were among 31 award recipients who are increasing operations beyond the regions of Cambridge and Boston. The Healey administration said those companies are expected to represent 71 percent of the jobs created as part of the most recent round of awards.

The incentive program of Massachusetts Life Sciences Center supports companies that commit to create and retain long-term jobs here in Massachusetts. Participating companies have pledged to create more than 22,300 positions in Massachusetts since its inception. This year’s recipients represent a range of industries, including research and development, therapeutics, women’s health, artificial intelligence, medical technology, diagnostics, and biomanufacturing.
