CSF of Marlborough is planning to relaunch its Scholar Bee later this year to raise funds for its Dollars for Scholars program.
The Dollars for Scholars program is a local chapter of Scholarship America. Its mission is to help students from Marlborough with paying for college and graduate school. Donations to the CSF of Marlborough Dollars for Scholars programs makes these funds possible. Over the years, the organization has awarded an amount of over $900,000 through 1,200 scholarships.
The Scholar Bee is one of the major fundraising events of CSF of Marlborough. Poster printing can be used to generate interest in the event and how its proceeds benefit students in the community.
The Scholar Bee is a spelling contest in which there will be three people per team. The entry fee is $200 per team. People can sponsor a team rather than participating themselves, as there are typically more teams of middle and high school students than can be afforded by the school budgets. Teams will be provided with a list of potential words for them to study.
There will be a kick-off event for the Scholar Bee at the Apex Entertainment Center at 6:00 pm on Sunday, February 6. Registration Forms will be made available at the event, at which more details will be provided. The Scholar Bee will take place on Thursday, April 28 at the Apex Center.
