Trammel Crow is seeking to create a residential overly district for this property.

Trammel Crow has built residential and commercial buildings in many areas of the United States, but is new to the Massachusetts market.

George Voyiatzis, a developer, is also looking for permission from the city to build 17 residential units inside what was once the Marlborough armory on Lincoln Street. It has been an armory for the National Guard since 1905, but has been vacant for over 30 years.

Voyiatzis is seeking a permit to build 15 homes with one and two bedrooms in the armory, The project would be called “The Armory on French Hill.” The new development is less than one block from the Alta Marlborough project, which is a residential development of 276 units in several buildings near the corner of Lincoln and Mechanic streets.
