The Annual Golf Tournament of the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce will be held for the 47th year later this month at the Marlborough Country Club.
President and CEO of the Chamber, Robert Schlater, expressed his thrill about being able to host its first networking event of the year without any restrictions. He said everyone has worked in innovative ways such that this can be a memorable event for both golfers and non-golfers. He added that he expects this event will be in high demand as members and their guests seek to be outdoors and enjoy golf and entertainment, along with each other’s company.
Sponsors of the event include Hologic, Boston Scientific, Main Street Bank, St. Mary’s Credit Union, and Ardent Staffing Solutions, among others. Such sponsors often help to promote such tournaments with flyer printing and other printing services.
There will be registration opening at 7:30 am with a shotgun start an hour later. A scramble format will be used as all players will tee off at the same time. There will be a “Hole in One” contest and other competitive golfing activities. Among the events taking place after golf, starting at 2:00 pm, are an award ceremony, a cocktail hour, and a luncheon. Non-golfers can register for these activities for only $30.
The Golf Tournament will be held on Monday, July 26.
