Marlborough to host citywide Halloween event

The yearly Horribles Parade will be taking place in Marlborough later this month.

Businesses on Main Street and other organizations around the city will be setting up booths and tables along Main Street for children of Marlborough to do their trick or treating. Everyone is encouraged to attend and dress in their best costumes. At the end of the trick or treating, the marching bands from the Marlborough Middle and High Schools will parade and play down Main Street, from South Bolton Street to Mechanic Street.

Businesses who are interested in setting up a booth or table are required to provide candy as the entrance fee. These participants will be able to promote their business or organization with giveaways, promotional tents, table clothes, and other printed materials, such as Flyers or Brochures provided by local Print shops.

Parking for the event will also be free for those who park at the Newton Street parking garage, the Court Street parking garage, and the municipal parking lot. No parking will be allowed on Main Street, which will be closed from 3:00 p.m. on the day of the event.

This event will take place from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 24. Trick or Treat will be available from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., to be followed by the Horribles Parade at 5:30 p.m. The event is free for all participants.
