The Heritage Day Weekend celebration is taking place in just over a week’s time, featuring three separate events over three days.
The first event of the weekend will be ‘Music under the Stars at City Hall’. Several local bands will be performing free of charge.
The annual Oktoberfest is taking place on the Saturday. The admission fee is $20 and ticketholders will receive a souvenir beer mug and one drink token. There will be plenty of German food, beer, and games. Musical entertainment will be provided by The Bavarian Brothers and Schwarze Schafe.
Sunday will be when the 21st annual Heritage Festival will be held from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This is a daylong celebration that will take place on Main Street.
The main event for the day will be the Chili/Chowder contest. The public pays $5 for samples and get to vote on their favorites. Local restaurants and caterers will be competing for the Judges’ Vote and Popular Vote.
The festival will feature over 100 vendors, children’s activities, a carnival, and the Marlborough Mile Race.
Sponsorships are available for purchase; sponsors will be listed on event Banners likely provide by Marlborough Stationery printers.
