The MetroWest Corporate 5K will be held by the Marlborough Community Cupboard of the United Way of Tri-County later this month.
Teams of at least four people will be able to compete against one another, with friends and businesses invited to take part. Teams can be of any size but must be a minimum of four people to compete in the race. The fastest team of four wins will earn the MetroWest Corporate Cup for the next year. Individual walkers and runners are also welcome with prizes awarded to the fastest female, male, and non-binary competitor.
Teams can create their own T-Shirts and Logo Design to go on them. The best team shirt as selected by the judges, who are staff at the United Way, will win a prize.
The Marlborough Community Cupboard will be the start and end of the route, which goes on to follow the Assabet River Rail Trail.
Once the race has concluded, there will be free photographs, music with a DJ, awards, medals, and complimentary snacks and pizza. For those over the age of 21, Flying Dream Brewery will be providing beer and donating a portion of its proceeds to the United Way. Additional funds from the race will go to support the hot meal sites, the three food pantries, and early literacy programs of the United Way of Tri-County.
The event will be held on Thursday, May 16 beginning at 6:30 pm.
