Marlborough company adds to senior leadership

Two new people will become part of the senior management team at Cognoptix in Marlborough, a company that creates diagnostics for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease (AD).

The new Chief Medical Officer (CMO) will be Dr. Carl H. Sadowsky and the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be Mike Kaswan, MBA, who will both no doubt require business card printing services for their new positions.

President and CEO of Cognoptix, Dr. Susanne Wilke, expressed her delight in Dr. Sadowsky and Kaswan joining the team and supporting the mission of the company to launch its Sapphire II system, a combination of drugs and devices for the early detection of Alzheimer's disease. She added that they both will be valuable to the company and will complete the already strong team of employees.

Dr. Sadowsky’s work as a researcher and physician is in AD and other neurodegenerative diseases. His most notable successes include conducting over 300 clinical trials for AD, including the IDEAS trial and the amyloid PET Amyvid trial. He serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Cognoptix, which has advance clinical testing of the Sapphire II system.

Kaswan has had over 25 years of experience as a venture capital officer, chief executive, and senior finance officer of rapid-growth healthcare companies. His role will be to support the ongoing marketing strategies of the company.
