Marlborough apartment project to offer more bedrooms

The Green District, an apartment development, is currently under construction in Marlborough and a change in the size of its occupancy has been actioned by the Marlborough City Council.

The second phase of the development project will now increase the number of bedrooms in the 475 units from 629 to 691. This will affect the number of parking spaces, which will be increased from 677 to 716. The developer of the project is Post Road Realty.

Attorney Brian Falk said that the project was approved over two years ago and since then there has been a shift for more home offices, as more people are working from home either on a full-time or part-time basis. He said that the developer has had experience with other multifamily communities and this increase in the number of bedrooms will have little impact in the overall population of the development.

Falk added that more and more couples and individuals are attracted to two-bedroom units as they use the extra bedroom for a home office. More information about such projects and their apartment units is often outlined with brochure printing.

The Green District is just off a ramp from Interstate 495 and is within walking distance of many of the largest employers in the city, including Hologic, TJX, and the possible new headquarters of BJs.
