Golf tournament will raise funds to improve hospital care

The 21st annual Golf Classic is taking place next month. Presented by the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce, the day is a fundraiser for the UMassMemorial Marlborough Hospital Foundation.

Golfers from all over the region will be on hand to help make this tournament a success. The fees for the tournament will include the use of the driving range, 18 holes of golf and on-course beverage carts. They will also include breakfast, lunch, a cocktail reception on the 19th hole and dinner. Players also receive tournament clothing such as golf shirts and golf balls. During dinner, prizes will be awarded and there will be a live auction and raffle.

Sponsorships are still available for purchase, ranging from $300 to sponsor a tee to $10,000 to sponsor dinner. Depending on their level, sponsors will have their company name printed on the golf shirt and golf balls that everyone will receive.

While this event is for charity, there will likely be the opportunity for golfers from around Marlborough to exchange their custom Business Cards with those they meet on the course.

The Golf Classic will be held at the Haven Country Club in Boylston on August 22 beginning at 9:00 am. For more information, such as the cost to register, contact the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce at 508-485-7746.
