Two holiday events will take place in Marlborough and surrounding communities next month.
Local Print shops often play a major role in disseminating the word about such events with the creation of Posters and other displays.
The annual Home of the Holidays and Tree Lighting event will be taking place in Marlborough. Mayor Arthur G. Vigeant will be joining Santa Claus for a special appearance and will arrive in a fire engine to begin the tree lighting ceremony. There will be complimentary popcorn, hot chocolate, and candy canes. Guests can also visit a petting zoo with many barn animals.
There will be musical performances of Christmas carols by the Marlborough High School Choir, and additional performances by the Jazz Ensemble and the Marlborough High School Symphony Orchestra at the First Congregational Church. The tree lighting will take place at Union Common this Friday, December 1 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
The Candy Mansion in Shrewsbury will also be hosting Santa Claus and his friends during the month of December. All events will take place from noon to 4:00 p.m. The schedule is as follows:
• Belle and Cinderella on Saturday, December 2
• Santa and Mrs. Claus on Sundays, December 3, December 10, and December 17
• Mickey and Minnie Mouse on Saturday, December 9
• Elsa and Anna from Frozen on Saturday, December 16
• The Grinch and Cindy Lou Who on Saturday, December 23
