Close to 27 acres of land along Boston Post Road East in Marlborough has been acquired by Procopio Companies based in Middleton. The plan is to develop a community of 140 multi-family units on the property.
Waypoint Residential had planned to build 188 units on the property four years ago. The project was initially blocked by the Marlborough City Council, but it later approved a special permit for the project. Called Walcott Heritage Farms, it reduced the size of the development to 140 units.
Procopio Companies said that once the project is completed, there will be 140 upscale apartments with a resident lounge and expansive lobby, a dog park, an outdoor pool deck, and a fitness center, among other amenities for residents. There will be 18 apartments with three bedrooms, 62 units with two bedrooms, and 60 units with one bedroom. Brochure printing is often used to offer more details about the features and amenities of such developments to attract potential residents.
Brian Vitale, vice president of strategy for Procopio, said that this project will provide high-quality options for housing, and contribute to the overall prosperity and growth of the city.
Procopio has developed many other properties in the area, including luxury duplexes in Gloucester and Windham, New Hampshire, and the five-story residential structure at 59 Main Street in Marlborough.
