American Robotics headquartered in Marlborough is under agreement to be acquired by Ondas Holdings Inc. based in California.
Ondas will pay a combination of cash and equity securities in the amount of $70.6 million for the company. Ondas develops proprietary wireless broadband software technology. American Robotics develops fully automated drone systems for commercial use.
Chairman and CEO of Ondas, Eric Brook, expressed his excited about this acquisition. He said that the product of the drone industry is data such that the use of drones for mission critical operations will be of great advantage for his company’s ecosystem partners and government and industrial customers. He added that the American Robotics system will provide many growth opportunities for his company.
The Scout System of American Robotics will merge with FullMAX platform of Ondas. The Scout System is fully automated and can be run continuously without any attention. It is marketed under a Robot-as-a-Service business model as a turnkey data solution. Brochure printing can be used to provide more details about such systems and their operations.
Co-founder and CEO of American Robotics, Reese Mozer, said that the time is ideal for his company to join forces with Ondas as the company has experience in American Robotics’ target markets that will enable his company’s products to reach the large industries it is looking to address.
