Boston welcomes summer with local produce market

A farmers’ market is on its way to Boston, and this indoor amenity will be a nonprofit organization.

The building will accommodate around 35 food producers, fishermen, and farmers. These people will come from Massachusetts and other parts of New England, so poster printing in Marlborough could be used to highlight the variety of what shall be on offer to the public.

The chief executive officer of the market, Liz Morningstar, has released a statement saying:

“Next month, our vendors will be selling hundreds of products from over 200 local small businesses here in the Market. We're proud to support over 200 jobs and to have built a home for the local food economy in Boston.”

The market is going to be open for the whole of the year, but consumers will only have access to it between Wednesday and Sunday. They will be able to buy a wide range of goods, including fish, bread, meat, dairy produce, eggs, prepared food, and flowers.

The market has been established with a variety of financial support. It has been arrived at by public-private cooperation, but it has also benefited from considerable private philanthropy. It has been reported that in excess of $9m has been donated to the cause.

The Conservation Fund has elected to deliver approximately $3m, and Blue Cross Blue Shield has also invested in the market.
