The 9th annual Worcester’s Best Chef competition is taking place at the end of January.
This event will feature some of the best chefs in Worcester and Metro West and will be hosted by Jen Carter, Rick Brackett, and Christina Andrianapolous.
Chefs will be competing for the Judges' and People's Choice awards. They compete in two categories. Voters chose their top three via a wristband with three numbered tabs for voting. This is narrowed down to the top three, who then move on to compete in an Iron Chef finale. Several student chefs will also be in attendance and will compete for Best Student Dessert.
For the public, there will be food tastings, cooking demonstrations, and beer and wine, and they can also purchase raffle tickets. Music will be provided by Players to Be Named Later. The WXLO Perfect Palate Award will also be announced during the event.
Chefs and students from all around Metro West, including those from Marlborough, will likely be looking forward to the competition. To ensure they know about it, organizers are likely to have invested in flyer printing services.
Worcester’s Best Chef will take place at Mechanics Hall on January 31 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $55 or $50 from 5:30 pm on, while VIP tickets are $75 and holders will be admitted one hour earlier. For more information, call 508-479-1171.
