Nadiya Chalak is slated to become the next conservation agent in Foxborough.
Currently working as an environmental engineer for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, Chalak was selected for the position by members of the conservation commission of the town and will replace Jane Pierce who is retiring as the full-time conservation agent in Foxborough. Such new selections often call for business card printing services.
Chalak attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute where she earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science. She said that her work with the state agency aligns closely with the requirements of the position in Foxborough. She added that it includes preparing technical reports, working with the public, dealing with the permitting process, and managing state inspections. Finally, Chalak said that she wants to make a positive impact on the environment which is the reason for her major in college.
James Marsh, vice chair of the commission, said that Chalak’s current position has been a good stepping stone for this job and that her qualifications are very impressive. He added that she has already handled much of the work that needs to be done in Foxborough.
This position of conservation agent is part of one of two municipal contracts between the United Steelworkers and the town. The other positions in town that are part of these contracts are public health director, human services director, and building commissioner.
