Foxborough works on master plan
A new master plan is being created by the town of Foxborough.
This will be a roadmap that will guide how the town will evolve and grow over the next 10 to 20 years. It will include guidelines on such matters as economic development, open space for transportation, and housing.
The process to update the master plan is being conducted by the town of Foxborough, along with the consultants at Weston & Sampson. Current conditions, historic trends, and projections for the future are being analyzed, in addition to gathering input from residents through surveys, workshops, and focused discussions.
Three upcoming workshops are scheduled and will be held at the Foxborough Community Center on Main Street. Flyer printing can be used to promote such workshops throughout a town.
The next one will be a Master Plan Growth Workshop, which will be an interactive session where residents can provide their feedback on important issues such as open space, transportation, and municipal facilities. This will be next Tuesday, July 29 beginning at 7:00 pm.
A workshop on senior housing will enable residents to talk about the needs of seniors for housing, priorities, and challenges. This will be on Tuesday, August 26 beginning at 3:45 pm. The last master plan workshop will finalize strategies and create a plan for implementation. This will be at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9.
The master plan is expected to complete by the end of this year.
