Naval equipment manufacturer to move into Foxborough area

Fairbanks Morse Defense (FMD) has completed a lease with Lincoln Property Company for a building on Green Street in Wrentham.

The building, which spans 71,350 square feet, was developed by Lincoln as a high bay warehouse. This lease may be of benefit to those who live and work in nearby Foxborough who might be made aware of such developments from flyer printing.

This building is a Class-A facility with 3,000 amps of power and clear heights of 32 feet. It is close to the headquarters of FMD in Walpole and less than one mile from Interstate 495.

FMD is a leading provider of equipment for customers of mission critical naval defense systems. The space will be part of a consolidation of its operations that will enable the company to bring manufacturing, warehousing, testing and repair functions under one roof and support its expansion and growth across New England.

Senior Vice President at Lincoln, James Tambone, said:

“This long-term lease with Fairbanks Morse Defense is another clear example of the ongoing flight to quality in today’s market, with tenants gravitating toward new construction with premier access.”

About 105,450 square feet of the building is still available for lease of which 2,500 square feet can be sued for office space.

FMD is expected to move into the building in the fourth quarter of this year.
