Vocational school breaks ground in Fall River

A ceremonial groundbreaking of the new Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School has been held.

The school will support the four communities of Fall River, Somerset, Westport, and Swansea. Informing districts of this sort of development is often done with flyer printing.

The new school will be able to enroll 1,500 students in grades 9 through 12. There will be a large entry plaza, parking areas conveniently placed to serve both the school and the athletic facilities, special education spaces, science labs, classrooms, an auditorium, and a gymnasium. There will also be large shops in construction, technology, culinary arts, manufacturing, and engineering.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held by the School Building Committee, the Greater Fall River Vocational School District, and the contractor Suffolk. Northeast Region General Manager of Suffolk, Keith Couch, said that Suffolk is proud to be working with the Massachusetts School Building Authority, the Greater Fall River Vocational School District, and the School Building Committee to bring the vision of this new school to fruition. He added that this will be a state-of-the-art facility that will provide students with a high-quality vocational and technical education, leading to career opportunities designed for their own success and the benefit of the workforce.

Suffolk is based in Boston and provides core construction management services that include innovation research/development, self-perform construction services, design, and both real estate and start-up investment.
