A 544 kW-DC solar system will be installed on the roof of Bishop Connolly High School in Fall River.
This new system is planned to produce 628,000 kWh of electricity each year and will cover all the electricity needs of the school.
President and Principal of Bishop Connolly High School, Kathleen St. Laurent, expressed her excitement about being able to partner with Resonant Energy on this initiative. St. Laurent said that this project will demonstrate to the community the school’s commitment to the environment and serve as an educational opportunity for the students. This provides an ideal opportunity for local Print shops to create printed materials with more details about such energy systems.
The Students for Solar Campaign has been launched by Resonant Energy, based in Dorchester, to help administrators, faculty, and students bring solar energy to their schools. Costs for electricity is one of the largest expenditures of kindergarten through grade 12 schools every year.
This project, begun by Bishop Connolly, will be one of over a dozen solar projects undertaken by similar schools. Resonant Energy, which has recently undertaken projects in New Bedford and Acushnet, will be managing the project.
The project is currently in development, with engineering plans being drawn up. It will be the spring or summer of next year when installation is expected to take place.Get a Free Quote for Print
