Two basic workshops with the goal to help existing and potential entrepreneurs in their business endeavors will be held in Fall River later this month.
The workshops are hosted by the South Eastern Economic Development Corporation working together with the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center, SCORE, the Fall River Office of Economic Development, the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce, and the United States Small Business Administration. Rockland Trust Community Development Corporation is the sponsor.
The workshops are free and will be held at the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce.
The first session, being held in the morning, will focus on learning the fundamentals of planning and financing a business. Breakfast will be provided.
The second session, being held in the afternoon, will focus on understanding the purpose of financial statements and their role in determining the health of a business. Lunch will be provided.
These monthly workshops are held by the South Eastern Economic Development Corporation on a monthly basis in different parts of the area.
The workshops will be held on Thursday, December 14, with the morning session running from 9:00 a.m. to noon and the one in the afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
