Overland Park kicks off holiday shopping season
Overland Park takes great pride in its community of small businesses, and a special event is on the way for the community that will bring neighbors together.
The Shop Small Community breakfast will encourage the public to patronize the establishments in the city’s downtown, as they eat, have fun and enjoy some seasonal shopping. The meal will be served at the Courthouse Exchange, and a special attendee is on the guestlist.
Diners will be able to fill their plates with biscuits and gravy, and while the parents look on, the younger guests can meet Santa live and in person. Each ticket includes a bonus of $5 worth of Square Bucks, which may be redeemed at participating shops throughout downtown, helping people get a jump start on their holiday shopping. Parents may want to make sure their phone or camera is handy so they can take pictures.
