Orland Park will have a family-friendly event to celebrate fall in early October.
This day of activities will offer something for all ages, as well as pets, provided they are well behaved. There will be different crafts, contests, rides, and games. These will allow for anyone attending to have fun. Everyone is required to register prior to the party.
For residents, it will cost $5 to attend, while those who do not reside in the area are required to pay $8. Pumpkins the size of a pie are being used as Promotional Products for the event and will be given to children. A market will also be set up, with many items for sale.
Kids and their families will get to enjoy pony rides, hayrides, and a barrel train ride. A DJ will be playing music, while other kids can choose make crafts or explore the play zone. In addition, sponsors will have their own activities – a few contests include a candy jar guessing game and a pumpkin weight guess.
Around the fire, guests will be able to toast their own marshmallows while chatting with their fellow partygoers.
Pets can join in on the fun in the costume parade. Several prizes will be given for criteria like the spookiest costume, pet/owner look alike, most unique, and most trendy. The party will also have treats for every pet while supplies last.
The Great Pumpkin Party will take place from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm on October 2. It will be located at Centennial Park.
