Orland Park to host multi-day event

Orland Park will be home to an event filled with music, food, and more in early August.

This festival is designed to give the community a chance to come together and have fun, while experiencing local entertainment and products. The event is open for all ages, with a special zone set up for the kids on the latter two dates.

There will be a trivia contest on the second day, with prizes such as Promotional Products available to the winners. The contest is at the Civic Center, and will be free to enter. In the kid area of the festival, there will be a chance for local theater talent to show off, as well as places to run and play.

Each day will offer different musical acts on the stage. There will be a wide variety of musical genres within the acts, so there will be something for everyone. In addition, there will be a showcase of Hawaiian dance, as well as a car show. The dance is open to all ages, with the car show allowing for anyone to enter their vehicle.

The festival, called Taste of Orland Park, takes place on August 6 through August 8. Most of the events begin in the afternoon, although the car show starts at 11:00 am on August 8. For the exact schedule, those interested can check out the city website. The location is the Civic Center.
