Orland Park to host job fair with a twist

Orland Park is hosting a job fair, but not in the typical fashion, in late June.

This job fair is going to be much more portable than the normal style of event. The library will have reusable Bags, likely printed with their Logo Design, filled to the brim with information packets from employers, colleges, and career centers in the area.

There will be groups of about 100 sets, available across a few dates, to ensure the safety and social distancing of those involved. These information kits are available on a first come, first served basis. If you miss getting one of the kits, there is an adult services desk available with resources.

The librarians also added their own list of resources to the Bags to help those that get them navigate job-related opportunities to people in the Orland Park area. There is a page set up with videos from participating employers and organizations as well as links to helpful information.

The first set of 100 will be available from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, June 24. The following set will be available on Saturday, June 26, starting from 11:00 am. The fair is located at the public library, which is at 14921 Ravinia Avenue. Due to its nature, the job fair does not require tickets.
