Orland Park bakery to celebrate holidays with special activity

A business known for their sweets will show Orland Park residents a festive take on a creative skill in early December.

Stan’s Donuts Decorating Event is an activity run by the staff at the local location of Stan’s Donuts & Coffee.

The company started in Los Angeles, and was founded by Stan Berman. He later teamed up with Rich Labriola, who brought the brand to the Chicago region. The store serves donuts, coffee, hash browns, grilled cheese, paninis, and a selection of breakfast sandwiches.

For this event, attendees will be presented with their own individual box of donuts along with frosting, sprinkles, candy, and marshmallows. The donuts will represent a classic holiday theme, so the dominant hues of the pastries will be green and red.

Everyone is encouraged to make their treats unique and enjoy sample bites at the venue, while sipping on a cup of Stan’s Signature Hot Chocolate.

Adults can participate for free in this event as long as they are attending with a child. The price of a child's decorating kit is $25, and there is also a “To-Go” bundle available that includes a quartet of donuts, pre-dyed frosting, and sprinkles.

The “To-Go” kit costs $20. Purchasing is available through the shop’s page on EventBrite.

Local businesses often use flyer printing when looking to raise awareness for events like this. The 90-minute experience will be run between 5:30pm and 7:00pm on the 1st of December.
