Charity pairing to turn up June fun levels

There are two charity events taking place next month that will help several local organizations.

The Backyard Bash, a fundraising event for the Turning Points Autism Foundation, will take place on the first Sunday in June. The special guest star performing at this event will be Steve Augeri, formerly of rock band Journey. Along with a barbecue, there will also be a children's village that will feature a sensory area. Clients of the organization and their families are encouraged to attend.

Being held a week later is Cause-a-Palooza. This is a fundraiser for ‘I Support Charity’, which helps a variety of local charity organizations. It will feature live music and field day games, along with children's activities like temporary tattoos and carnival games. Treats and snacks will be available, and there will be a cash bar for the adults. Local nonprofit organizations will also have exhibit tables.

Both of these events will likely attract people from all over the area, including nearby Orland Park. To spread the word, local printing companies often contribute products like Posters and Flyers.

The Backyard Bash will be held at Turning Points Autism Foundation on June 7, beginning at 12:00 pm. Tickets are $15 each. Call 630-570-7948 to learn more.

Cause-a-Palooza will take place at the VFW in Naperville on June 14 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Tickets are $10. Call 630-352-9089 for more information.
